What you will do
- Provide on-site and phone troubleshooting, repair, equipment modification, installation, and commissioning support for industrial products.
- Perform mechanical and electrical maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on generators and emergency power supply systems.
- Handle scheduled preventive maintenance and emergency or unscheduled repairs, including after-hours, weekend, and holiday service when directed.
- Read operational manuals, electrical schematics, generator literature, and work orders to complete service activities.
- Document completed work in FieldServio and communicate findings through reports, calls, emails, and in-person discussions.
- Identify faulty operations and defective materials, report unusual conditions, and maintain compliance with applicable fire protection and state regulations.
Requirements
- High school diploma.
- Valid driver license; ability to drive a heavy-duty truck and obtain a DOT Medical Card may be required.
- At least four years of experience servicing and troubleshooting Emergency Power Supply Systems.
- Working knowledge of mechanical design, AC/DC circuitry, power generation, wiring schematics, connection diagrams, transfer switches, and diesel or gaseous engines.
- Knowledge of natural gas fuel systems, engine maintenance, spark-ignited systems, light towers, pumps, and heating products.
- Ability to work independently, communicate effectively, provide detailed reports within 24 hours, and work safely in varying weather and manufacturing conditions.
Nice to have
- Six years of experience servicing and troubleshooting Emergency Power Supply Systems.
- Associate degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
