Power Generation Technician

Location: Midland, TX, United States; onsite work involving deployed assets, facilities, outdoor conditions, and company vehicle operation.

What you will do

• Install, repair, maintain, calibrate, and diagnose PROPWR power generation equipment.
• Collaborate with operators and technicians on diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems using CAT ET and other diagnostic software.
• Use wiring schematics, technical manuals, and guides to service instrumentation and control hardware.
• Prioritize maintenance to prevent equipment failure and unplanned downtime.
• Document diagnostic steps, completed work, and parts used in the Computerized Maintenance Management System.

Requirements

• 2–4 years of experience in a similar technician role.
• Proficiency with CAT ET and other diagnostic software.
• Fundamental knowledge of natural gas reciprocating and turbine engines, power generators, electricity, control systems, instrumentation, network protocols, and communication devices.
• Current valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors, sit or stand for extended periods, lift or move up to 20 lbs, and operate a company vehicle safely in all weather and road conditions.
• Ability to work onsite in Midland, TX and support deployed equipment in varying environmental conditions.

Nice to have

• Experience with CAT G3520 engine packages.
• Experience with Solar SMT60 turbine packages.
