Supply Chain Category Manager - Sr Supply Chain Category Manager (Construction Services)

Location: Dallas, Texas, United States. The role works in an office environment and may require occasional overnight travel.

What you will do

• Create and execute category-specific purchasing strategies aligned with business goals.
• Execute RFPs and RFQs to support construction services procurement.
• Build supplier relationships, evaluate performance, and negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing.
• Research markets, monitor pricing trends, and identify potential suppliers.
• Ensure procurement compliance, maintain purchasing and supplier records, and control supply chain expenses.
• Partner with risk, engineering, operations, and finance to mitigate risks, track KPIs, improve efficiency, and resolve supplier disputes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of procurement experience; gas utility experience may be considered in lieu of procurement experience.
• Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
• Proficiency in reporting, statistical analysis, ratios, and percentages.
• Intermediate skills in MS Excel and MS Word, with knowledge of purchasing and inventory databases such as Oracle or SAP.
• Ability to occasionally perform physical activities including bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, turning, and lifting.

Nice to have

• Master's degree or professional certification such as CPM or CPSM.
