Category Manager (HVAC Manufacturing)

Location: Tulsa, Oklahoma, United States; onsite, full time

What you will do

• Lead cross-functional initiatives to develop and implement category strategies, including supply market analysis, contracting, and supplier performance management.
• Assess goods and services, perform value chain analyses, and build cost models to optimize total cost of ownership.
• Develop sourcing and negotiation strategies, coordinate commercial agreements, and mitigate supplier and contract risk.
• Identify savings and value-creation opportunities by leveraging spend, consolidating suppliers, and forming strategic supplier alliances.
• Monitor supply market indicators, create forecasts with stakeholders and suppliers, and adjust category strategies to changing business needs.
• Track supplier KPIs, communicate operational performance, and lead improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or a relevant business or technical discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, category management, or supply chain leadership across diverse industries or markets.
• In-depth knowledge of category management and strategic sourcing, including experience with large contract and commercial negotiations.
• Experience applying supply market analysis, total cost of ownership principles, strategy development, and evaluation modeling.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, stakeholder-influence, and executive presentation skills.
• Advanced Excel knowledge and experience; SAP experience is highly desired.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a relevant technical discipline.
• HVAC manufacturing experience, particularly in planning and supply chain activities related to drilling, completion, or production.
• Experience with SAP.
