Inpatient Physical Therapist II - Per Diem (Weekends/Weekdays)

Location: Tufts Medical Center; onsite inpatient clinical role

Pay range: $42.50–$47.41 per hour

What you will do

• Evaluate, reassess, and treat patients across pediatric, adolescent, geriatric, and general populations.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans addressing pain, mobility, function, and independence.
• Support safe discharge planning in collaboration with patients, families, physicians, nurses, social workers, and other health professionals.
• Educate patients, families, and physical therapy students, including supervising and evaluating students.
• Document treatment and patient outcomes in medical records while following billing and insurance requirements.
• Participate in rounds, case conferences, quality improvement activities, Joint Commission preparation, and continuing education.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and graduation from an approved school of Physical Therapy.
• Current Physical Therapy license and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• At least one year of experience as a Physical Therapist.
• Knowledge of physical modalities, therapeutic exercise, treatment techniques, and functional assessment.
• Ability to communicate in English and work effectively with patients with acute and long-term disabilities.
• Ability to stand, walk, transfer patients, and lift 25 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree or Doctorate in Physical Therapy.
• Two years of clinical experience.
