Physical Therapist Assistant - PRN

Location: Richmond, Virginia, with an additional shift available in McLean, Virginia. Onsite care is provided in health centers during Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. hours.

Salary: $32.00–$40.00 per hour

What you will do

• Administer active and passive therapeutic exercises, massage, traction, and heat, light, sound, water, and electrical modalities.
• Instruct, motivate, and assist patients with mobility, transfers, ambulation, and daily living activities.
• Observe patients, measure range of motion and vital signs, evaluate treatment responses, and report progress to the Physical Therapist.
• Fit, adjust, and train patients to use orthopedic braces, prostheses, crutches, canes, walkers, and wheelchairs.
• Coordinate treatment information with physical therapy and other healthcare staff.
• Perform clerical duties, including inventory, supply ordering, telephone coverage, messages, and forms.

Requirements

• Associate degree from an approved or accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
• Current certification or license as a Physical Therapy Assistant, where applicable in the practicing state.
• Current AHA or ARC Basic Life Support certification for medical providers is required.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification may be required depending on the contract scope of services.
