Engineer 1 - Sr Engineer (Pipeline)

Location: Lubbock, Texas, United States; office-based with occasional outdoor and field work

What you will do

• Construct new and maintain existing natural gas pipeline systems, including material selection, procedure development, code compliance, and inspection of work.
• Evaluate leakage survey effectiveness and assist with pipeline system design, monitoring, and analysis.
• Analyze regulation, measurement, curtailment, and natural gas loss or gain.
• Design system mains, regulator and meter settings, and corrosion control protection.
• Conduct field investigations involving public contact for right-of-way acquisition, permits, and route evaluation.
• Coordinate engineering and operations activities and prepare specialized reports and studies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to internal and external customers with different levels of technical knowledge.
• Ability to perform algebraic, trigonometric, geometric, statistical, and accounting calculations.
• Advanced knowledge of software applications for creating complex documents, reports, and graphics.
• Pre- and post-employment drug testing and motor vehicle record checks are required for this safety-sensitive position under DOT and PHMSA requirements.
