Project Engineer, LNG

Location: MA-Hopkinton (55 Wilson St), United States. Primarily office-based, with travel to operating districts, gas facilities, and companies across MA/CT/NH. Emergency restoration assignments may require work outside normal responsibilities, hours, and location.

Annual salary: $116,370–$129,300, plus potential incentive.

What you will do

• Design LNG systems and installations, including gas pretreatment, boil-off gas recompression, liquefaction, vaporization, electrical distribution, and instrumentation and controls.
• Review vendor documents, respond to submittals and RFIs, prepare specifications, technical documents, procurement materials, permitting documents, and construction packages.
• Support bidding activities, evaluate bids, initiate purchase orders, and assist with project cost estimates and capital budgets.
• Coordinate contractors, customers, municipalities, states, internal departments, and other project resources.
• Monitor project schedules, costs, resources, materials, equipment deliveries, invoices, and budget reporting.
• Support construction oversight and ensure compliance with safety policies, applicable codes, standards, and regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related discipline.
• At least five years of related engineering experience.
• Knowledge of distribution construction and maintenance practices, governmental codes and regulations, welding and fusing principles, and environmental requirements.
• Familiarity with Microsoft computer operations and ability to work with technical documentation, planning, analysis, design, and coordination.
• Must be available to travel between Massachusetts, Connecticut, and New Hampshire and to respond to emergency restoration assignments.
