Sr Procurement Specialist (Chemical Industry)

Location: Modeste, Louisiana, United States; participation in site meetings and support for site initiatives are required.

What you will do

• Support procurement strategy, planning, and execution for the Blue Point greenfield industrial project.
• Lead sourcing activities, including proposal management, recommendations, contract negotiations, and contract awards.
• Manage supplier relationships, performance, qualification, compliance, cost, safety, reliability, and capabilities.
• Issue contract releases and purchase orders while tracking equipment fabrication and delivery progress.
• Expedite critical-path orders, support imports and logistics, and help enforce contract terms.
• Participate in stage-gate reviews, risk management planning, stakeholder engagement, and site initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, engineering, or a related field.
• Six or more years of procurement experience.
• Experience with large industrial construction projects or operating plants, preferably in oil and gas or chemical industries.
• Strong knowledge of contract negotiation, supplier management, sourcing, bidding, contracting, supplier performance, and risk management.
• Ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences and influence stakeholders at all organizational levels.
• Ability to participate in site meetings and work in the Modeste, Louisiana project environment.

Nice to have

• MBA.
• Experience with Coupa, Ariba, or other procurement systems.
• Microsoft 365 and Tableau experience.
