Production Technician (Biotechnology)

Location: Cedar Rapids, Iowa, USA; onsite role

Starting pay: $27.50 per hour with a premium shift dhirify.globalerential. Minimum first-year earnings of $70,000+ when working an AWS schedule.

What you will do

• Operate and monitor production equipment used in enzyme manufacturing processes.
• Use Delta V process control systems to support optimal plant performance.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and process issues and report maintenance needs.
• Support continuous improvement efforts focused on safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency.
• Collaborate with engineers and cross-functional teams to optimize operations.
• Document production data and maintain accurate operational records.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 2 years of experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or mechanical environment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting skills, communication skills, and ability to work in a team.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and work in a physically active setting.

Nice to have

• Associate or bachelor's degree in a technical or scientific field.
• Experience in biotechnology, chemical, or food manufacturing.
• Familiarity with Delta V or similar distributed control systems.
• Experience identifying process improvements and driving efficiencies.
