Production Technician III (Manufacturing)

Location: Fort Wayne, Indiana, United States; onsite, full time

Salary: $21.50–$28.92 per hour

What you will do

• Support production engineering and management with continuous improvement projects for manufacturing processes.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, quality, and continuous improvement teams to resolve production issues.
• Design, build, and install jigs and fixtures, and help introduce new equipment and processes to the manufacturing floor.
• Troubleshoot systems, machinery, application software, and technical issues to identify root causes and implement solutions.
• Repair, rebuild, and overhaul manufacturing or service equipment using blueprints, manuals, and written or verbal instructions.
• Train and support production employees, build internal tests, and provide backup support to the Team Lead.

Requirements

• 5–7 years of welding and fabrication experience in a production environment.
• High school diploma or GED required; an associate degree or technical certification is preferred.
• Ability to troubleshoot independently to the component level and manage multiple products or projects.
• Experience using Windows-based computers and Microsoft Office, with strong software and record-keeping skills.
• Understanding of Lean Six Sigma and problem-solving tools, as well as quality-system procedures and documentation.
• Strong communication, teamwork, initiative, employee-relations, and leadership skills.
