Automation Technician (Biotech Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Operate Oyster Bay, Hamilton plate-filling, M&O Perry, and standard-pack equipment.
• Prepare and fill specialized microtiter plates and vials with liquid products.
• Package standard vials into plastic pouches using automated equipment.
• Batch and label products manually or with automated systems.
• Document production data, maintain batch records, and track manufacturing-component inventory.
• Set up, clean, and operate equipment while meeting cycle-time, quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• High school diploma with 1–2 years of relevant experience, or a technical/associate degree with relevant experience.
• Prior experience with laboratory equipment including pipettes, analytical balances, microscopes, incubators, and degassing devices.
• Ability to operate general laboratory and automated material-handling equipment independently.
• Knowledge of laboratory protocols, SOPs, chemical handling, safety, and regulatory compliance.
• Basic calculation and measurement skills, multitasking ability, and capacity to lift 5–50 lb items.
• Good verbal and written English and U.S. work authorization without current or future visa sponsorship are required.

Nice to have

• Technical or associate degree in Mechatronics, Automation, Biotech Manufacturing, or a related technical field.
• Prior experience operating material-handling equipment.
