Equipment Maintenance Technician (Manufacturing)

Location: North Jackson, Ohio, United States; onsite industrial environment. The role works on 2nd and 3rd shifts and may require overtime, including weekends.

What you will do

• Perform scheduled and emergency repairs on production and facility equipment.
• Inspect, test, troubleshoot, adjust, lubricate, clean, and replace defective mechanical parts.
• Install and repair basic electrical wiring, electronic components, motors, relays, switches, sensing devices, feeders, conduit, and control circuits.
• Diagnose and maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including pipes, gauges, valves, and pressure regulators.
• Complete preventive-maintenance work orders and electronic or paper documentation, communicating incomplete work across shifts.
• Participate in equipment training, knowledge sharing, vendor coordination, and environmental, health, and safety procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical components, control circuits, mechanical equipment, and industrial machinery.
• Technical aptitude, basic hand and power tool skills, and ability to read manuals, schematics, diagrams, and technical instructions.
• General computer skills for electronic work orders, data entry, and email communication.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English at the level necessary to perform the job.
• Ability to stand for a full shift, lift 40 pounds, work in confined spaces, and perform crouched or overhead work; personal basic hand tools are required.

Nice to have

• Two years of experience troubleshooting, repairing, or installing manufacturing equipment.
• Trade experience in electrical, mechanical, electronics, HVAC, plumbing, or welding.
• Relevant licensing or journeyman status.
