Maintenance Technician I (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment, machinery, tools, and facility systems.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electromechanical equipment.
• Install, align, maintain, and repair motors, pumps, conveyors, gearboxes, valves, bearings, and drive systems.
• Use diagnostic equipment and technical documentation to evaluate equipment conditions and operating parameters.
• Maintain work orders, inspection reports, maintenance records, and preventive maintenance documentation.
• Support equipment installations, upgrades, facility improvements, root cause investigations, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 2 years of experience in industrial, manufacturing, mechanical maintenance, or a related technical field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Basic knowledge of industrial mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, equipment manuals, and technical documentation.
• Ability to work at heights exceeding 3 feet, in confined spaces, and in physically demanding conditions; regularly lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work on-site and support overtime, weekends, alternative schedules, or emergency call-ins as required.

Nice to have

• Technical school training, vocational certification, apprenticeship completion, or an associate degree in industrial maintenance, mechatronics, electrical technology, or a related discipline.
• Journeyman, lockout/tagout, forklift, welding, or other maintenance-related certifications.
• Experience with computerized maintenance management systems.
