Specialty Claims Adjuster

Location: Portsmouth, NH; Newtown Square, PA; Dallas, TX; or remote within the United States

Salary: $100,000–$125,000 per year

What you will do

• Handle marine, auto, property, and general liability claims.
• Inspect losses, review claim details, and meet with clients to determine adjustment parameters.
• Investigate, evaluate, and negotiate resolutions for complex claims.
• Attend depositions, mediations, and trials as needed.
• Retain and monitor outside adjusters, appraisers, and other experts.
• Coordinate with management and underwriting on larger and more complex claims while following company guidelines and best claims practices.

Requirements

• 5+ years of general liability claims experience, specialty claims adjusting experience, or a combination of both.
• Required high school diploma or graduate equivalent degree; college degree preferred.
• Required claims adjusting license in all operating states.
• Extensive knowledge of specialty and general liability claims.
• Strong analytical, project management, organizational, communication, and prioritization skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and the ability to manage complex claims and multiple deadlines.
