GL Claims Specialist (General Liability)

Location: Remote within the United States

Salary: USD 83,000–108,000 per year

What you will do

• Manage a portfolio of General Liability claims from initial report through resolution.
• Investigate coverage, liability, and damages by working with insureds, claimants, witnesses, attorneys, and other relevant parties.
• Analyze policy coverage and issue claim correspondence in line with applicable laws, regulations, and company guidelines.
• Evaluate exposures, maintain reserves, and negotiate fair settlements within delegated authority.
• Coordinate with defense counsel, experts, and service providers on litigated or complex matters.
• Maintain accurate claim records, identify recovery and fraud opportunities, and collaborate with agents, underwriters, and internal teams.

Requirements

• Five or more years of commercial General Liability claims handling experience preferred.
• Experience evaluating and resolving bodily injury and third-party property damage claims preferred.
• Experience handling General Liability claims in Southern jurisdictions preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with business partners.
• Proficiency with standard business software and claims management systems; applicable state claims adjuster licensure preferred.
