EPC Project Engineer (Solar)

Location: Santa Fe Springs, California, United States; onsite role with 70% office work and 30% on-site work, including travel to project sites as required.

Salary: USD $36.00–$53.00 per hour, non-exempt, paid weekly and based on experience.

What you will do

• Coordinate multiple third-party engineering firms delivering Issued for Construction electrical, civil, and structural drawings.
• Lead design reviews, coordinate technical activities, and integrate project designs with internal engineering resources, owners, and clients.
• Maintain engineering schedules, budgets, deliverables, document control, transmittals, RFIs, and associated logs.
• Support construction teams with design intent, quantities, materials, permits, technical guidance, and engineering liaison services.
• Perform value engineering, economic analysis, and cost-impact assessments for design changes.
• Train Field Engineers and Field Coordinators in engineering management, document control, and RFI processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Business, Engineering, or a combination of relevant education and experience.
• At least three years of experience in solar and BESS EPC, including construction sequencing, methods, materials, and electrical systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
• Experience with Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project scheduling software.
• Knowledge of solar power plant construction, electrical power engineering, equipment sizing, load flow, and power quality.
• Applicants must already be authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• OSHA 30 certification.
• Registered Professional Engineer status or qualification to take the PE examination.
• Database experience.
