BESS Electrician

Location: Plymouth, Massachusetts, United States; on-site field work required

Salary: $37.01–$53.60 per hour

What you will do

• Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, test, install, remove, and maintain solar-site and battery-storage electrical equipment.
• Work with solar panels, inverters, transformers, breakers, switchgear, and SCADA equipment.
• Read instruction manuals, blueprints, and control-system drawings under the supervision of the Lead Electrician.
• Complete work orders, calibration sheets, time cards, and material requests.
• Supervise and train apprentice electricians and coworkers in safe tool use and maintenance procedures.
• Provide occasional after-hours and weekend callout support.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of industrial solar electrical or electronic maintenance experience, including repair, inspection, testing, installation, or maintenance.
• Current Journeyman's Electrical License in Massachusetts required.
• Valid driver's license in good standing, issued by the state of residence.
• High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of electricity and voltage/current relationships in AC and DC circuits.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work, including climbing ladders and handling equipment at height.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Solar PV.

• OSHA training and certification.
