InfoSec Specialist - SOC (Cybersecurity)

Location: San Jose, California or Frisco, Texas; candidates must live within commuting distance and be available onsite as needed. Relocation assistance is not offered.

Salary: USD $93,370–$153,400 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

What you will do

• Detect, investigate, contain, remediate, and recover from cyber-attacks using event correlation and defensive security tools.
• Analyze malicious activity, exploited weaknesses, intrusion methods, and tactics, techniques, and procedures.
• Support incident response through evidence collection, documentation, communications, reporting, and escalation.
• Lead or contribute to cross-functional security initiatives, risk assessments, and security posture improvements.
• Recommend and drive security controls for enterprise infrastructure, products, services, and information assets.
• Monitor external threat data and provide cybersecurity recommendations to leadership.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in a similar SOC or cybersecurity role.
• Experience leading one or more phases of the incident response lifecycle.
• Strong critical thinking, analytical, collaboration, and cross-functional leadership skills.
• Experience with cloud security monitoring, detection, and response across AWS, GCP, and Azure.
• Knowledge of application security, DDoS protection, threat intelligence, AWS cloud security, and endpoint security with CrowdStrike.
• Willingness to participate in rotational on-call and weekend coverage.
