Senior Cybersecurity Engineer (US Federal)

Location: Reston, Virginia, United States; at least 50% of each quarter spent in the office or in the field. Work on U.S. Federal Government contracts requires U.S. citizenship, and the role may require the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance.

Annual base salary: $159,600–$239,400 USD for the primary location. Additional U.S. locations: $144,400–$258,000 USD.

What you will do

• Build cybersecurity capabilities for a new air-gapped classified cloud environment.
• Perform vulnerability management, incident response, threat hunting, and threat detection.
• Deploy, monitor, and manage systems in AWS or Microsoft Top Secret clouds.
• Build and maintain investigation and response tools.
• Work with customers and Cyber Defense teams to align security practices across environments.
• Develop cybersecurity best practices and coordinate activities across multiple teams.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in technical security consultancy, security operations, incident response, vulnerability management, threat detection, or threat hunting.
• 2+ years of hands-on technical leadership experience.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
• Strong knowledge of platform, application, cloud, network, and container security.
• Experience with vulnerability scanning, SIEM, SOAR, hunting techniques, and adversary TTPs.
• U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance are required; active TS/SCI with CI Poly is preferred.
