Cybersecurity Engineer - US Federal

Location: Reston, Virginia, United States; at least 50% of each quarter must be spent in the office or in the field

Base salary: $130,200–$195,400 USD annually for the primary location; $117,800–$210,000 USD annually for additional US locations

What you will do

• Build and support cybersecurity capabilities in an air-gapped classified cloud environment.
• Perform vulnerability management, incident response, threat hunting, and threat detection.
• Deploy, monitor, and manage systems in AWS or Microsoft Top Secret clouds.
• Build and maintain investigation and response tools.
• Coordinate cybersecurity activities with government customers and Cyber Defense teams.
• Develop security best practices across classified and other environments.

Requirements

• Must be a native-born or naturalized United States citizen.
• Must already possess a valid and active TS/SCI with CI polygraph security clearance.
• At least 5 years of experience in technical security consultancy, security operations, incident response, vulnerability management, threat detection, or threat hunting.
• At least 2 years of hands-on technical leadership experience.
• Experience with AWS or Microsoft Top Secret clouds, platform and application security, and containerized applications.
• Experience with vulnerability scanning, SIEM, SOAR, adversary TTPs, network and application security, and hunting techniques.
