Senior Information Security Engineer (Cybersecurity)

Location: Remote, Lafayette, Colorado, United States

Annual base salary: $110,000–$150,000, plus 10% annual bonus potential.

What you will do

• Own enterprise security platforms including CrowdStrike, Rapid7, Cisco Umbrella, Cisco Duo, KnowBe4, and related technologies.
• Lead vulnerability management, endpoint and identity security, privileged access, penetration testing, security hardening, and incident response.
• Secure Azure, AWS, Microsoft 365, Entra ID, AWS Identity Center, Auth0, and cloud-native workloads.
• Partner with DevOps to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, containers, Kubernetes, and application security workflows.
• Improve cloud security posture management, logging, detection engineering, email security, and security automation using PowerShell, Python, Microsoft Graph, REST APIs, and AI-assisted development.
• Lead vendor security assessments, SOC 2 controls, technical compliance initiatives, security architecture reviews, and AI security governance.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in security engineering, cloud security, infrastructure security, or a related senior technical role.
• Strong knowledge of identity, endpoint, vulnerability, network, incident response, and zero trust security.
• Experience securing Azure, AWS, Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Windows, and Linux.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, Kubernetes, container security, application security scanning, and DevSecOps.
• Experience with PowerShell, Python, REST APIs, SOC 2, NIST CSF, or comparable frameworks.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or cybersecurity, or equivalent experience.

Nice to have

• CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CCSP, AWS Certified Security, or equivalent certification.
