Salary: $132,370–$206,829 annually, plus a 14% annual bonus target.

What you will do

  • Lead the site environmental program and provide technical guidance on federal, state, local, and corporate compliance requirements.
  • Manage compliance with the Clean Water Act, NPDES, SPCC, stormwater, groundwater protection, RC14001, Clean Air Act, Title V, NESHAP, MACT, and related air programs.
  • Prepare and submit environmental reports, including SARA 312/313, air emissions inventories, greenhouse gas, hazardous waste, NPDES DMR, and corporate environmental plans.
  • Coordinate regulatory interactions, agency requests, regulatory audits, and first- and second-party environmental audits.
  • Prepare permit applications and renewals, determine regulatory applicability, and assess environmental impacts of process and operations changes.
  • Investigate environmental incidents, improve procedures and training, support emergency release response, and participate in plant and corporate EHS committees.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline, preferably chemical or environmental engineering, environmental science, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of environmental experience in high-hazard chemical or petrochemical manufacturing.
  • Working knowledge of RC14001, RCRA, NPDES, the Clean Water Act, and the Clean Air Act.
  • Experience with environmental regulatory reporting and waste characterization for off-site disposal.
  • Ability to work independently, solve problems, manage multiple schedules, and collaborate with operations, technical, and maintenance personnel.
  • Computer proficiency with Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Nice to have

  • 7+ years of relevant experience in high-hazard chemical or petrochemical manufacturing.
  • Safety certifications such as CEP or NREP.
  • Experience with emergency response, agency reporting, Lean methodologies, maintenance processes, or business-system implementation.
