Salary: $90,000–$120,000 starting annual salary

What you will do

  • Monitor and evaluate mill operations for compliance with environmental regulations and permit conditions.
  • Interpret applicable federal and state regulations and develop corrective actions for potential compliance issues.
  • Prepare semiannual, annual, performance-test, and agency compliance reports.
  • Coordinate performance testing and other compliance activities with operations, maintenance teams, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
  • Create or revise compliance procedures and plans, conduct field activities, and support audits and inspections.
  • Maintain compliance databases and spreadsheets and complete additional assignments from the supervisor.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or Chemical Engineering.
  • 5–10 years of experience in a manufacturing facility.
  • Knowledge of environmental compliance, performance testing, biology, chemistry, and process operations.
  • Knowledge of air pollution, water pollution, solid waste, hazardous waste, and federal and state agency reporting.
  • Experience or familiarity with CEMS, COMS, CMS, relative accuracy test audits, and release or spill reporting requirements.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with the Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act, NSPS, MACT, Part 70 Title V permits, and RCRA.
