Location: College Station, San Angelo, Amarillo, Victoria, Dallas/Fort Worth, or McAllen, Texas; up to 50% or more travel may be required.

What you will do
- Coordinate the Texas A&M Opioid Prevention for K-12 Students (TOPS) program with schools, community organizations, and local decision-makers.
- Plan and implement opioid prevention awareness, education, and engagement events for middle schools, high schools, families, and community partners.
- Deliver fentanyl-focused prevention campaigns and provide culturally appropriate information and support.
- Complete TOPS curriculum training and co-lead training sessions for community partners.
- Conduct site visits across service-area counties and support logistical planning for community events.
- Collect program data, maintain activity and travel logs, prepare reports, and track deliverable milestones and outreach growth.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least four years of public, community, or external relations, event planning, or related experience.
- Fluent written and spoken English and Spanish required.
- Ability to travel independently by car and/or commercial airline to other locations; up to 50% or more travel may be required.
- Ability to work beyond normal office hours and on weekends when required.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, multitasking, judgment, collaboration, word-processing, and spreadsheet skills.
Nice to have
- Certified Community Health Worker (CHW) or Community Health Worker Instructor (CHWI) certification.
- Experience delivering CHW training sessions or working in a State of Texas-certified CHW training program or site.
- Master’s degree or education in public health, community health, health education, or a related field.
