Skilled Intelligent Controls and Automation Technician (Industrial Automation)

Location: GRTR Chicago Fulfillment Center, United States; onsite warehouse role with rotating or fixed 12-hour shifts

Starting pay: $32.34–$40.20 per hour, plus bonus if applicable and benefits.

What you will do

• Operate warehouse automated equipment and processes.
• Maintain and troubleshoot warehouse automation, process, power, and control equipment.
• Use electrical test equipment, schematics, and technical data to diagnose problems and identify issues proactively.
• Troubleshoot, monitor, and program PLC, SCADA, and HMI systems, as well as variable frequency drives, servo drives, and robotics.
• Perform preventive maintenance and equipment calibrations.
• Implement continuous improvement projects, reduce downtime and defects, and build technical skills in others.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Two-year technical degree or certification in Industrial Electrical or a related field, or equivalent industrial experience applying electrical and controls skills.
• Practical knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, process instrumentation, machine control systems, variable frequency drives, servo drives, robotics, power distribution below 600V, control-system networking, and electrical safety.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, issue-resolution, and root-cause-analysis skills for industrial electrical systems.
• Ability to navigate PLC programs, read electrical schematics and single-line drawings, and use electrical troubleshooting tools.
• Availability to work a 2-2-3 slow rotation schedule with 12-hour shifts or a fixed day or night shift.
