Controls Tech 2nd Shift (Industrial Automation)

Location: Huntsville, Alabama, USA; onsite production-line presence required

Base pay: $24.66–$29.47 per hour

What you will do

• Install, maintain, document, and improve control systems used in manufacturing.
• Program and configure control systems, including Allen-Bradley PLCs, HMIs, and VFDs.
• Set up and maintain Cognex, Keyence, and Banner vision systems for in-line inspections.
• Train image-recognition systems, manage inspection images, and troubleshoot lighting, scanning, and part-presentation issues.
• Integrate inspection results with AS400 and coordinate trigger points using scanners, RFID readers, and sensors.
• Work with vendors, integrators, engineers, production, maintenance, quality, and supervisory teams to support tooling, new model launches, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED; an associate degree in automation, electrical, or a related technical field is strongly preferred.
• At least two years of related industrial experience.
• Prior experience programming or configuring Allen-Bradley Logix500 and Logix5000 PLCs, HMIs, and VFDs.
• Experience with industrial equipment, electrical troubleshooting, and modifying technical drawings.
• Ability to work independently and demonstrate strong communication, problem-solving, and computer skills.
• Must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States; visa sponsorship is not provided.
