Director, Event Technology & Production

Location: Onsite in Ocean Township, New Jersey, United States. Event travel includes overnight stays, with availability to travel and be on-call from February through July.

Salary: $110,000–$130,000 annually, plus an annual performance-based bonus opportunity.

What you will do

• Lead the IT/Technical Development, Event Production, and Media teams, including hiring, onboarding, scheduling, mentoring, performance management, and development planning.
• Partner with event leadership to align technology, production, media, and technical operations with business objectives and event execution standards.
• Establish workflows, operational frameworks, redundancy, risk mitigation, and resource allocation for office and live event environments.
• Manage office infrastructure and services, including networks, workstations, laptops, IoT devices, web services, integrations, Apple and Microsoft accounts, 2FA, and MDM.
• Oversee tour technology and scoring systems, including more than 150 laptops and tablets, Wi-Fi hotspots, networking, tabulator and scorekeeper equipment, and event software.
• Guide software development roadmaps, feature releases, backlog management, bug tracking, hotfix support, and the OneBeat software roadmap.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in IT management, systems administration, or technical support.
• Strong knowledge of networking, hardware, and software troubleshooting across Apple and Microsoft environments.
• Experience administering Apple IDs, Microsoft accounts, 2FA, MDM, cloud services, APIs, integrations, and web services.
• Hands-on experience managing 75+ devices and complex office, remote-team, and event-based infrastructures.
• Experience with budgets, operational improvement, vendor management, software releases, bug tracking, and hotfix support.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience; willingness to travel and provide on-site event support.
