Director, Infrastructure & Operations

Location: On-site at the San Diego headquarters, United States; remote work is not an option. Requires domestic travel of up to 10% and flexibility to work nights, weekends, or holidays when needed.

Salary: $155,380–$221,416–$287,451 annually.

What you will do

• Define and execute infrastructure and operations strategy centered on on-premises data centers, with selective cloud adoption.
• Lead modernization across compute, storage, networking, databases, virtualization, automation, and cloud platforms.
• Ensure 24x7 availability, monitoring, support, service management, and operational improvement for critical enterprise systems.
• Oversee data centers, servers, storage, backup and recovery, networks, databases, telecommunications, end-user platforms, and cloud services.
• Own disaster recovery, business continuity, backup, restoration, high availability, vulnerability remediation, patching, and infrastructure compliance.
• Manage budgets, vendors, service agreements, licensing, operational performance, and infrastructure and operations staff.

Requirements

• BA/BS degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least 10 years of related experience and subject-matter expertise in the relevant infrastructure areas.
• At least 8 years of supervisory experience, or the specified hirify.global experience and leadership-training alternative.
• Experience with Windows and Linux servers, VMware, storage, backup and recovery, databases, networking, identity and access management, monitoring, and cloud platforms.
• Knowledge of IT service management, infrastructure automation, configuration management, and Infrastructure as Code practices.
