Director, Field Engineering

Location: Parma; travel within the state on short notice 50%–80% and outside the state several times each month, including 20% overnight travel.

Annual starting salary: $150,000–$170,000, plus bonus eligibility.

What you will do

• Lead day-to-day field engineering support operations and oversee field engineers, managers, and vendor partners.
• Design policies, procedures, checklists, and tools for installation, testing, maintenance, troubleshooting, and site visits.
• Develop KPIs, SLAs, performance standards, and documentation for field support teams.
• Optimize field support processes and enable business and school initiatives while maintaining security, portability, and performance.
• Manage vendor contracts, evaluations, scorecards, service-level compliance, business reviews, and improvement plans.
• Handle complex or high-impact escalations and coach managers and employees through performance management, development, and succession planning.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Leadership experience with the ability to establish milestones, monitor execution, and optimize processes.
• Experience working with senior and executive-level business partners.
• Strong communication, organization, prioritization, critical-thinking, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work independently, adapt to change, and contribute to collaborative initiatives.
• Ability to pass federal and state criminal background checks, including FBI/BCI checks.
