Exercise Physiologist

Location: Sunnyvale, California, United States; onsite at a Health Center. Full-time schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:30 a.m.–6:30 p.m.

Salary: $32.71–$40.89 per hour

What you will do

• Coach educational presentations, group training exercises, posture circuits, and corrective ergonomic practices.
• Conduct physical demand analyses through data collection, measurement tools, video analysis, and report review.
• Evaluate physical abilities using job-specific physical performance testing and musculoskeletal assessments.
• Identify high-risk work areas and support early symptom recognition and injury prevention.
• Collaborate with athletic trainers, nurses, physicians, client liaisons, management, and external partners.
• Contribute to special projects and research opportunities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in exercise science or a closely related field required; a master’s degree is preferred.
• Current CPR/AED certification with hands-on training and First Aid certification required.
• At least 3 years of fitness industry experience.
• Experience developing exercise prescriptions for high-risk and special populations or physical therapy step-down clients is preferred.
• Personal training, group exercise, and advanced fitness certifications are preferred.
