EEG Technician II

Location: Tufts Medical Center; onsite clinical work

Salary: $29.28–$36.61 per hour

What you will do

• Perform standard and special EEG recordings, including sensory evoked potentials.
• Conduct intraoperative monitoring during cerebrovascular and neurosurgical procedures.
• Record EEGs at the bedside, including isolation, neonatal, and ICU settings.
• Adapt recording techniques and electrode placement for non-standard procedures.
• Communicate EEG changes to surgeons and assist medical staff during special procedures.
• Maintain EEG equipment and participate in research data collection.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an approved EEG course of study.
• American Board of Registry in EEG Technology certification.
• Basic Life Support certification.
• At least one year of experience as an EEG Technologist.
• Effective reading, writing, speaking, communication, organization, and interpersonal skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office and Meditech.

Nice to have

• Three years of experience as an EEG Technologist.
• Experience assisting with EEG student training and research projects.
