What you will do

• Develop and implement education, exercise plans, and exercise prescriptions for adolescent and adult cardiac rehabilitation patients.
• Provide group classes and individual counseling on cardiac and vascular disease, risk-factor management, and healthy lifestyle changes.
• Conduct intake interviews for new outpatient cardiac rehabilitation patients and explain the benefits of rehabilitation.
• Assess patient risk factors using interviews, laboratory information, and medical history.
• Lead warm-up, stretching, range-of-motion, cardiovascular conditioning, cool-down, and resistance-training activities.
• Modify exercise programs when patients’ physical or medical conditions require changes and complete clinical documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in exercise science, exercise physiology, physical therapy, or physical education.
• Prior experience in clinical cardiac rehabilitation or an equivalent field.
• Basic Life Support certification, or the ability to obtain it immediately after hire through Elliot.
• Work on site in Manchester, New Hampshire.
