Digital Solution Architect (MSAT)

Location: Lyon, France; hybrid with 3 days per week onsite and 2 days remote.

Salary: €64,000–€85,333 per year, plus short-term and collective variable compensation.

What you will do

• Define technology architecture strategies, roadmaps, target-state architectures, standards, principles, and best practices for MSAT.
• Design and govern end-to-end architectures spanning applications, integrations, cloud services, data platforms, and manufacturing systems.
• Enable data, analytics, and AI capabilities while supporting scalable, sustainable, secure, and compliant solutions.
• Support MSAT process optimization, technology transfer, process validation, lifecycle management, continuous improvement, and digitization.
• Drive platform rationalization, modernization, technology evaluations, and lifecycle management.
• Advise and align MSAT, Manufacturing, Quality, Data, Digital, IT, enterprise architecture, and delivery stakeholders.

Requirements

• Mandatory experience in one or more of: solution architecture, manufacturing IT/OT architecture, cloud architecture, data and analytics architecture, or Manufacturing Sciences (MSAT).
• Strong solution architecture and system design experience, including target-state architectures and technology roadmaps.
• Ability to design scalable, secure, maintainable enterprise solutions and understanding of integration patterns, APIs, and distributed systems.
• Understanding of data, analytics, and AI platforms and their support for business capabilities.
• Experience engaging and influencing stakeholders across business and technology functions, with strong communication, facilitation, influencing, and decision-making skills.
• Knowledge of governance, risk, compliance, security, privacy, and regulatory considerations in regulated environments.
• Exposure to several of the following: AWS and/or Azure, solution and application architecture, integration platforms, APIs, event-driven architectures, data platforms, analytics ecosystems, enterprise architecture frameworks, manufacturing systems, MES, Historian, LIMS, ELN, manufacturing data platforms, security architecture, data governance, and IT/OT integration.
• Strong stakeholder management, collaboration across scientific, business, manufacturing, and technology teams, strategic thinking, systems-level problem solving, ability to simplify complex technical topics, curiosity, adaptability, learning mindset, leadership without authority, and effective decision facilitation.

Nice to have

• Experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, life sciences, or other regulated environments.
• Experience supporting global manufacturing organizations or digital transformation programs in manufacturing environments.
• TOGAF or equivalent architecture certification.
• Experience with cloud transformation initiatives and familiarity with AI governance frameworks.
• Knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes and MSAT operations.
• Exposure to modern integration technologies and event-driven architectures.
