Sr. Specialist Solutions Architect (Platform Security and Cloud Infrastructure)

Location: Paris, France; travel up to 30% when needed.

What you will do

• Provide technical leadership to strategic customers delivering big data projects from architecture and security design through development, deployment, and automation.
• Architect production-level workloads and perform end-to-end pipeline load-performance testing and optimization.
• Provide expertise in cloud infrastructure and security for the Databricks Lakehouse Platform.
• Support Solution Architects with advanced technical sales activities, including proof-of-concept content, workload sizing, and custom architectures.
• Improve community adoption through tutorials, training, hackathons, and conference presentations.
• Contribute to the Databricks Community as a technical subject-matter expert.

Requirements

• Pre-sales or post-sales experience working with external clients across a variety of industry markets.
• Experience as a Data Platform Engineer designing, setting up, and maintaining production-grade big data systems using Spark.
• Experience designing AWS and Azure cloud infrastructure and services, including cloud security and networking best practices.
• Experience designing, deploying, and maintaining cloud networks and connectivity, including VPC/VNet design, routing, segmentation, and private connectivity.
• Experience architecting production cloud networks for data and AI workloads, including segmentation and routing, data exfiltration prevention, performance, and reliability.
• Experience with Identity and Access Management, including role-based access control, least-privilege principles, and IdP integration.
• Hands-on experience automating cloud infrastructure with Terraform or cloud-specific resource management tools such as ARM and CloudFormation.
• Experience supporting customers in designing and implementing security lakehouses or security data platforms on Databricks for SIEM augmentation, security analytics, threat hunting, and advanced detections.
• Ability to design and extend highly performant, scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud-based big data solutions.
• Deep knowledge of engineering development tools and best practices, including CI/CD, unit and integration testing, automation, and orchestration.
• Production programming experience in one or more of Python, Scala, SQL, or R.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
• Fluency in French and English.
