Optical Manager, Non-Certified – Sam’s Club

Location: Hodgkins, Illinois, United States; onsite at the Sam’s Club Vision Center.

Hourly wage: $27.50–$39.50 per hour, with possible premiums of $0.35–$3.00 per hour.

What you will do

• Drive Vision Center sales through merchandise presentation, competitive pricing, inventory management, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis of customer and community needs.
• Provide and model effective customer service, resolving customer concerns within company guidelines.
• Oversee quality eyewear services, including product selection, measurements, prescription verification, minor frame repair, confidential record handling, and optical equipment maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with company and legal requirements, safety controls, asset protection, quality assurance reviews, and performance improvement plans.
• Hire, train, mentor, schedule, recognize, and develop Vision Center Associates while building an inclusive workplace.
• Coordinate operational assignments, stakeholder relationships, business initiatives, progress measurement, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Completion of two or more years of college, or qualifying combinations of retail, supervisory, general work, and optical experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current eligibility to work as an optician or apprentice optician under applicable state laws, regulations, and rules.
• Ability to supervise, train, mentor, and guide Associates.
