Licensed Optical Manager Full Time (Optical)

Location: Auburn, Massachusetts, United States; onsite

Salary: Starting at $40.00 per hour, excluding manager bonuses, spiffs, commissions, and other additional compensation.

What you will do

• Manage, teach, coach, and supervise the optical department team.
• Provide optician services, including eyewear adjustments, measurements, lensometer prescription reading, and order paperwork.
• Schedule eye examinations, answer calls, notify members about product readiness, and deliver high-quality member service.
• Coordinate with the optical lab, Club Manager, Regional Optical Manager, and doctors to ensure timely order processing and department performance.
• Manage opening and closing procedures, payments, cash accuracy, sales goals, and product recommendations.
• Maintain a clean, organized, compliant optical department and uphold club service standards.

Requirements

• Active optician license to work in the state of Massachusetts, maintained in good standing.
• Leadership experience managing or supervising teams, training team members, and communicating results.
• Strong interpersonal, customer service, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Open shift availability and regular, predictable full attendance.
• At least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma, college degree, and/or experience in wholesale, retail, optical, or management is preferred.
