Wastewater Technician - 3rd Shift

Location: Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin; onsite, 3rd shift

What you will do

• Operate and monitor wastewater treatment and incoming water treatment systems, including softeners, reverse osmosis, and deionizers.
• Analyze wastewater solutions and maintain effluent within local, state, and federal environmental limits.
• Prepare hazardous waste for treatment or shipment and clean containers before recycling or disposal.
• Identify and troubleshoot chemical, mechanical, and electrical conditions affecting treatment systems.
• Provide environmental operations and regulatory information to management and coordinate with production and maintenance personnel.

Requirements

• High school diploma required; an associate degree is preferred.
• 1–3 years of experience with water or wastewater treatment systems and hazardous waste management is preferred.
• Basic understanding of industrial electronics and strong mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds, stand for the entire shift, work alone for extended periods, and solve problems effectively.
• Must comply with US export-control requirements; access to ITAR products and related technical data is restricted to US citizens and US permanent residents.

Nice to have

• Plating experience or chemical laboratory experience.
• Experience with water treatment, wastewater treatment, or hazardous waste operations.
