Operations Technician (Wastewater Treatment)

Location: Cottage Grove, Minnesota, United States. On-site role with up to 10% travel, or up to 20% during the first year. Relocation assistance may be authorized. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employment visa sponsorship.

Salary: $98,964–$120,957 per year, including base pay and variable incentive pay if eligible.

What you will do

• Lead water-quality stewardship, safety, regulatory compliance, and environmental responsibility.
• Operate and improve water-treatment systems using current processing technologies and reliability practices.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, production, maintenance, and contractors to resolve problems and implement operational improvement projects.
• Support standardization, documentation, data tracking and analysis, training, audits, and continuous improvement.
• Provide on-call support for urgent operational issues.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or higher from an accredited institution.
• At least seven years of utilities and/or water-systems experience.
• At least three years of wastewater-treatment experience.
• Problem-solving, project-management, and teamwork skills.
• Knowledge of state and federal water-quality permits and regulations.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without employment visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited institution.
