Waste Water Treatment Operator, 2nd Shift (Industrial Wastewater)

Hiring range: $22.25–$30.20 USD per hour

What you will do

• Operate and maintain wastewater treatment facilities, including batch treatment of plating wastewater and filter press systems.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, maintain, repair, lubricate, and clean pumps, tanks, channels, sumps, and related equipment.
• Calibrate pH meters and chemical analyzers and conduct frequent treated-wastewater analysis using atomic absorption equipment.
• Maintain operating records, prepare reports, manage process-supply inventory, and initiate corrective actions for equipment deficiencies.
• Restore plant equipment and processes after shutdowns and power outages.
• Perform cleanup and follow OSHA, environmental, PPE, and company safety requirements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Industrial Wastewater Treatment certification.
• At least one year of experience with industrial chemicals or in a metal-plating environment.
• At least one year of wastewater treatment operations experience.
• Valid CAD license.
• Knowledge of wastewater treatment, water reclamation, pumps, maintenance practices, and safety procedures; ability to work independently and in a team.
• Must be legally able to work in the United States without employment visa sponsorship.

• Bilingual English-Spanish communication skills.
