Engineering Technician I - 3rd Shift

What you will do

• Set up test equipment and products according to approved procedures.
• Perform mechanical, electrical, environmental, and electromechanical testing on prototypes, existing products, and competitor products.
• Use measurement instruments and accurately record scientific, temperature, pressure, and other test data.
• Assemble and fabricate test equipment and prototype products from blueprint specifications, including following bills of materials.
• Support manufacturing troubleshooting and maintain test documentation in database systems.
• Prepare test reports and support laboratory audits and 5S workplace organization.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic understanding of electrical techniques and theories.
• Ability to use mechanical, electrical, and electronic measurement instruments.
• Demonstrated testing competency in accordance with ISO 17025 and the Laboratory Scope of Operations.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Ability to work non-standard or extended hours and occasionally lift up to 25–50 pounds; a basic personal tool set is required.

Nice to have

• One year of experience participating in project or cross-functional teams.
• Experience with specialized equipment such as engine dynamometers.
• Familiarity with multimeters, power analyzers, welding, general fabrication, and combustion engines.
