Environmental Engineer

Location: New York, New York; long-term field assignments in the New York City area

Salary: USD $64,396.80–$101,462.40 per year

What you will do

• Implement site investigations, environmental characterization, and remedial action work plans.
• Collect and document soil, groundwater, soil vapor, indoor air, and surface water samples.
• Prepare and review project specifications, engineering drawings, reports, and supporting field documentation.
• Coordinate and oversee remedial contractors, drillers, geophysical surveyors, and analytical laboratories.
• Prepare Community Air Monitoring Plans and Health and Safety Plans.
• Review laboratory analytical reports and complete project expense reports accurately and on time.

Requirements

• B.S. or B.A. in environmental science, geology, engineering, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of environmental consulting experience focused on environmental engineering, due diligence, field investigations, and sampling.
• Strong writing, communication, data analysis, professional judgment, quality assurance, and quality control skills.
• Working knowledge of health and safety practices and proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Ability to manage multiple project assignments, work effectively in a project team, and complete long-term field assignments in the New York City area.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Nice to have

• Environmental consulting experience in New York City.
• 40-hour HAZWOPER and 10-hour Construction certifications.
