Sr. Project Engineer (Chemical Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Lead multidisciplinary teams through the planning, scheduling, construction, and execution of capital projects from concept through startup.
• Align stakeholders, define project scopes, resolve execution barriers, and drive projects safely through completion.
• Supervise engineering and construction contractors and verify compliance with design specifications, codes, and site requirements.
• Develop resource plans and execution strategies, monitor progress and risks, and adjust plans to maintain delivery targets.
• Manage project funds, forecast monthly cash flow, and communicate cost or schedule variances.
• Lead Management of Change activities and support turnaround planning and execution in an operating plant environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• At least five years of experience executing capital projects in a chemical plant, refinery, or similar industrial manufacturing environment.
• Experience managing projects from scope development through implementation, including cost, schedule, contractor coordination, and field execution.
• Working knowledge of engineering standards, construction practices, safety requirements, and Management of Change processes.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills across operations, maintenance, engineering, and other functional teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with SAP, project controls, or chemical manufacturing turnaround planning and execution.
• Project Management Professional certification.
