Home Office Underwriting/Audit Internship - Summer 2027 (Insurance)

Rate of pay starts at $18 per hour.

What you will do

• Learn insurance coverages, contracts, company procedures, policies, manuals, forms, and endorsements.
• Analyze loss experience, financial conditions, and physical characteristics of insurance risks.
• Support underwriting activities across personal or commercial lines, surety bonds, or the Michigan Audit Department.
• Develop working knowledge of supporting underwriting functions.
• Communicate verbally and in writing with independent agents and internal employees.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in college and entering the junior or senior year.
• Ability to organize data, multitask, and make independent decisions.
• Above-average written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to resolve complex issues.
• Ability to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.
