Technical Assistant (Insurance)

What you will do

• Review, classify, and rate Property and Casualty insurance applications for new and renewal business.
• Support Account Executives with underwriting and brokering risks, including obtaining required information and completing applications.
• Analyze exposures and submissions, prepare indications, quotes, binders, and policy documentation.
• Coordinate inspections, loss runs, state filings, taxes, suspense items, renewals, and endorsements.
• Communicate with producers, company representatives, inspection companies, and finance companies to process submissions efficiently.
• Maintain and service accounts before, during, and after binding.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1–3 years of experience in a similar position.
• General Lines license.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Exceptional telephone demeanor and ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Part-time, onsite role in Garden City, New York, USA.
