Actuarial Development Program Intern – Summer 2027

Location: Hybrid in Richmond, Virginia, United States. Relocation assistance may be available for candidates outside the area.

Hiring rate: $22.00–$31.75 per hour, plus eligibility for a performance-based bonus incentive plan.

What you will do

• Participate in a 10-to-12-week actuarial internship beginning in Summer 2027.
• Apply advanced Excel techniques and programming to solve real-world problems.
• Work with large data sets and gain exposure to actuarial software, including GGY AXIS, MG-ALFA, and PolySystems.
• Attend on-site technical and professional development classes.
• Build relationships with peers and mentors and participate in sponsored community service events.

Requirements

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
• Strong mathematical background and demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
• Interest in pursuing a career in the actuarial field.

Nice to have

• Minimum 3.2 GPA on a 4.0 scale.
• Scheduled or completed and passed at least one actuarial exam.
