Planning and Turnaround Superintendent (Chemical Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Lead routine maintenance planning, work prioritization, backlog planning, and execution readiness.
• Supervise maintenance and turnaround planners and establish planning standards across the site.
• Ensure work packages contain scopes, labor estimates, materials, tools, permits, procedures, drawings, safety requirements, and risk controls.
• Own SAP work order quality, planning KPIs, material readiness, PM compliance, and schedule readiness.
• Manage turnaround planning and execution support, including outage scope, schedules, resources, contractors, milestones, and daily planning activities.
• Coordinate Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Procurement, Stores, EHS, vendors, and contractors while driving continuous improvement and lessons learned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, maintenance, construction management, or a related technical field preferred.
• At least five years of experience in industrial maintenance, maintenance planning, scheduling, turnaround coordination, engineering, or maintenance supervision; chemical manufacturing experience preferred.
• Leadership and direct supervisory experience, including work with planners, coordinators, contractors, or cross-functional maintenance teams.
• Strong knowledge of maintenance planning, job package development, backlog management, outage readiness, contractor coordination, and work execution.
• SAP PM or equivalent CMMS experience is required; SAP experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of industrial safety controls, including permit-to-work, LOTO, confined space, hot work, and line-break procedures. Must be able to climb towers, enter confined spaces, and lift up to 50 lbs.
