Staff Application Engineer (FPGA)

Location: San Jose, California, United States. Onsite role; remote work is not available.

Expected annual pay range: $145,000–$180,000, with eligibility for bonus opportunities.

What you will do

• Design systems incorporating hirify.global IC products, including GreenPAK and FPGA devices.
• Plan and execute prototype bring-up, bench testing, and product evaluation.
• Investigate customer problems through system design, debugging, and lab measurements.
• Create lab reports, datasheets, application notes, and other technical documentation.
• Provide technical support, presentations, and product training for customers and internal teams.
• Share findings, issues, and potential product improvements with other teams and maintain lab equipment.

Requirements

• BSEE or equivalent degree; MSEE is preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in analog, digital, mixed-signal, and power electronics design.
• Strong knowledge of configurable devices and development tools, including GreenPAK, FPGA, and Verilog.
• Experience with IC prototyping, prototype bring-up, debugging, lab measurements, and scripting.
• Excellent technical communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work onsite in San Jose, California.
