Environmental, Health & Safety Manager (Chemical Manufacturing)

Location: DeLisle facility, Pass Christian, Mississippi, United States. Onsite role; relocation assistance is available.

Salary: $126,067–$196,980 per year, plus a 14% annual bonus target.

What you will do

• Lead site-wide Environmental, Health & Safety, Process Safety Management, emergency response, security, and compliance programs.
• Strengthen the safety culture through field leadership, coaching, employee engagement, and accountability.
• Partner with Operations, Maintenance, Technology, and Training teams to integrate EHS requirements into daily operations.
• Lead and develop the EHS and Training teams, including performance management, employee development, and succession planning.
• Oversee OSHA compliance, PSM programs, regulatory inspections, audits, incident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective actions.
• Develop EHS strategies and improvement plans while supporting operational excellence through Lean principles and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Safety, Safety Management, or a closely related technical discipline.
• 10+ years of Environmental, Health & Safety experience, including significant PSM responsibility in a high-hazard manufacturing environment.
• At least 2 years of people leadership experience, including coaching, performance management, and team development.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations, PSM requirements, incident investigation methodologies, RC14001 principles, and EHS management systems.
• Ability to influence stakeholders, drive culture change, and collaborate across site functions.
• Immigration sponsorship, including H-1B, F-1 OPT, TN, or other non-immigrant status sponsorship, is not available. Candidates must be able to work in the United States.

Nice to have

• Certified Safety Professional certification.
• Experience in chemical, petrochemical, refining, industrial gas, pulp and paper, or other OSHA PSM-covered manufacturing environments.
• Operations experience in a production or manufacturing leadership role.
• Industrial Hygiene experience.
• Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma experience.
