Environmental Health & Safety Specialist (Manufacturing)

Salary: $97,916–$139,880 per year

What you will do

• Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of site environmental, health, and safety programs.
• Manage environmental permits, regulatory reporting, inspections, audits, sampling programs, and waste management.
• Lead incident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective action implementation.
• Develop and deliver environmental, health, safety, and operator training programs.
• Oversee industrial hygiene and occupational health programs, including exposure monitoring, medical surveillance, respirator compliance, and workers’ compensation investigations.
• Manage hazardous materials compliance and support Process Safety Management and Process Hazard Management requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, Occupational Safety, or a related discipline.
• At least two years of Environmental Health and Safety experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations, environmental compliance, industrial safety, industrial hygiene, occupational health, emergency preparedness, and Process Safety Management.
• Experience conducting incident investigations, implementing corrective actions, and supporting continuous improvement.
• Experience developing and delivering employee compliance training.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, with strong communication and organizational skills.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
• Certified Safety Professional certification or another relevant Environmental Health and Safety credential.
• Experience with food safety programs, ISO 22000, Feed Additive and Premixture Quality System, or dietary supplement quality standards.
